Katey’s House Ham

Key information

Our nursery

Katey’s House Ham sits on a secure sports ground in the heart of Ham Lands, with over five acres of open grass, playground and outdoor learning space right outside the door. Children use all of it, every day.

Floor-to-ceiling windows run along two sides of the building, so inside and outside are barely separate. Children move between them freely, and the view from the rooms is fields.

Just beyond the fields is the woodland children love, where our Green Grass Academy adventures happen. They build dens, go on nature hunts, watch the seasons change and find out what they can climb. It’s where confidence, resilience and curiosity grow, and where children learn to judge a risk and ask for help when they need it.

What makes it feel like home is the people. Our early educators get to know each child properly: what makes them laugh, how they like to be settled, what catches their eye outside this week. Children feel they belong here, and when they do, they’re ready to thrive and ready to learn.

Children join us in Cherries as babies, move up to Plums as toddlers and finish in Apples, ready for school and everything after it. Indoors there are songs and stories, Zig-Zag Zumba, Little Wandle and a calm Restful Rituals moment every day. Children also have a real say in nursery life through our Children’s Council.

Families are part of it too. You’ll know the names of the people caring for your child, hear about their day as it happens and have a voice through our Parent Forum.

Open 51 weeks of the year, 7.30am to 6pm. Come and see it for yourself. Wellies recommended.

To check availability, call Martina, our nursery manager, on 02089 405 877, or send an enquiry and she’ll call you back the same day.

What our parents say

Exceptional nursery! Our little girl is happy to go there every morning and in the last 4 months we have had zero issues at all. Such a fantastic team and they clearly love what they do. For a new nursery this couldn’t be better, the owners really know what they are doing and this sets a very high standard for other nurseries in the area to follow. Many thanks 🙏

My 1yo son is attending Cherries class at Katey's Teddington since he's 7mo and I couldn't be happier with the team. The lead teacher, Andreia and the rest of the team are so passionate, always going that extra mile that makes the difference. The amount and quality of activities they do with the babies is incredible and always creative, perfect for the development of the little ones. They also organise many activities to involve the parents, which is lovely. Andreia and the team are so caring and loving, I couldn't imagine my baby boy in better hands. Highly recommend the team at Cherries in Katey's Teddington!

Amazing nursery, amazing teachers and managers! Our son absolutely loves it. We have changed 3 nurseries, and this one is the best – as soon as you open the door, you enter a magic atmosphere and cannot stop smiling.1) love the flexibility – can drop off at any reasonable time in the morning and pick up earlier if needed (not all nurseries like that)2) keeping parents up to date with the activities though the observations In the app and weekly photo collage3) the most important are kind and caring teachers who do lots of interesting staff with kids – yoga, Spanish, baking, planting, going out to parks and libraries, etc etc

This is a wonderful nursery, lucky to have it so close by. I’m delighted at the progress my daughter has made after just 3 months. The staff are kind and caring and take a genuine interest each and every child. They are so knowledgeable about my daughter and it shines through at handover time at the end of the day. The Manager Alessa is great, very responsive and organised. In the past we have been to nurseries where the staff are great but the management less so. This is not the case at Katey’s in Teddington. Thank you for everything you are doing, and keep up the good work.

I was so nervous as it is my first child, we visited a few nurseries but Katey's in Hampton court was by far the best. I had such a good vibe, they put my mind at rest and made me feel confident. My Daughter loves it now, they are constantly getting the children to interact and learn, they are really friendly and caring. They have always listened to any feedback, and done whatever they can to adapt to my daughters particular needs. I love the fact that they explain what the kids have done during the day and include things like gardening and outings.

Our son has been going to Katey's for 18 months now. As a first-time parent when he joined, I was naturally anxious at leaving him somewhere 'unfamiliar'. But as he settled into his Plums class so well, I was very quickly made to feel at ease by the wonderful teachers in there. Manager Katie and her whole team are so kind, caring and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble, and they go above and beyond to ensure needs are met. I love seeing the updates on the app, and hearing at hometime about the great experiences children are given. I would have no hesitation in recommending Katey's Hampton Court to anyone looking for a nursery for their child.
