Our nursery
Katey’s House Hampton Court is a warm, light building with dedicated rooms for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, each one set up for the stage the children are actually at.
Our Cherries baby room is small, cosy and calm. Babies are held, talked to and sung to, and a small team of early educators know each baby’s rhythms: how they like to be settled, which song works, when a nap is coming. Babies feel they belong here, and when they do, they’re ready to thrive and ready to learn.
From Cherries, children move up to Plums as toddlers and finish in Apples, ready for school and everything after it. Inside there are songs and stories, Zig-Zag Zumba, Little Wandle and a calm Restful Rituals moment every day. Children also have a real say in nursery life through our Children’s Council. The outdoor terrace is where the digging, pouring and sensory play happens.
And then there’s Hampton Court itself. The Palace Gardens are a short walk away and the children go regularly, along with Hampton Court Green, the Island Park and the library. Through Green Grass Academy, these trips become real adventures. Children go on nature hunts, notice the seasons change and have space to run, climb and balance. Along the way they learn about the people and places around them, and how to explore their world safely.
Families are part of it too. You’ll know the names of the people caring for your child, hear about their day as it happens and have a voice through our Parent Forum.
