Our nursery
Katey’s House Kingston is a Victorian house over two levels, and it feels like one. Warm rooms, cosy corners and a terrace balcony where children get fresh air without leaving the building.
Our early educators know every child, and most of the parents by name. Children feel they belong here, and when they do, they’re ready to thrive and ready to learn.
Children join us in Cherries as babies, move up to Plums as toddlers and finish in Apples, ready for school and everything after it. Inside there are songs and stories, Zig-Zag Zumba, Little Wandle and a calm Restful Rituals moment every day. Children also have a real say in nursery life through our Children’s Council.
Out and about, Green Grass Academy takes children to Canbury Gardens and Richmond Park to run, explore and notice the seasons change. At the Riverside Allotments they see the chickens and do some planting, learning where food comes from and how to care for living things.
Families are part of it too. You’ll hear about your child’s day as it happens and have a voice through our Parent Forum.
